NALP is proud to announce it has conferred this year’s Pro Bono Publico Award on Emily W. Munger, a 3L at University of Georgia School of Law. Munger stood out among the award nominees for her holistic effort to bring a name change clinic to Athens.

Munger identified a community need, identified local organizations with which to partner, leveraged her role as a student leader, raised funds for filing fees, and left behind guidance materials to help future students continue the effort she built with her classmates and local practitioners. Her project epitomizes what we at NALP believe student pro bono leadership is capable of and the kinds of efforts we hope to honor and elevate with this award.

NALP congratulates Emily W. Munger for her dedicated service and leadership! We look forward to seeing what she is able to accomplish as she ultimately begins her postgraduate career.
